The California Natural Resources Agency, the state agency tasked with carrying out our state goal of protecting 30% of land and coastal waters by 2030 released their annual progress report on July 7th. In it, they reported that we have safeguarded 26.1% of lands and 21.9% of coastal waters thus far.

EPIC attended the 30x30 Partnership Summit in Sacramento hosted by the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) in early October.

On August 20, 2024, the Eureka City Council unanimously passed a resolution declaring their support for 30x30.
