At the beginning of September, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) released a report titled Limiting Overshoot: Navigating Exceedance of 1.5°C and Pathways Towards Return. In it, UNEP calls on the world to face the likelihood that we will exceed the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
