Breaking News: EPIC Sponsors Legislation to Conserve State Demonstration Forest System
Today on Friday, February 20th, Assemblymember Chis Rogers introduced AB 2494, a bill that would provide a transformative update to the management of California’s State Demonstration Forests by shifting the management of the forest away from industrial commercial timber production, and towards ecological restoration, climate resilience, and Tribal co-governance for more than 85,000 acres of public forestland statewide.

Trump Throws Out Endangerment Finding and Climate Regulations
On February 12th, the Trump Administration announced it was rescinding this 2009 “endangerment finding,” arguing that it was both legally invalid. The domino effect of this is that the EPA now claims it lacks the same power to regulate these gases, and existing regulations tied to this endangerment finding must go too.

The Trump Administration Can't Stop Losing Offshore Wind Court Cases
Donald Trump hates wind turbines. He has been actively working to oppose them since 2011 when the Scottish Government first proposed building some near a golf course he owns. Now as President, he is using every tool at the Federal Government’s disposal to stymie the development of the industry in the United States. Trump issued an Executive Order on his first day in office meant to halt offshore wind permitting.
