The California Natural Resources Agency, the state agency tasked with carrying out our state goal of protecting 30% of land and coastal waters by 2030 released their annual progress report on July 7th. In it, they reported that we have safeguarded 26.1% of lands and 21.9% of coastal waters thus far.

Earlier this June, EPIC had the extraordinary opportunity to take to the skies with EcoFlight, a nonprofit dedicated to illuminating environmental issues through the unique vantage of aerial perspective.

ast night, the Senate Parliamentarian ruled that the public land sell-off plan that Utah Senator Lee inserted into the budget reconciliation bill does not meet the criteria necessary to be included in the bill. That means the bill will require 60 Senators’ votes instead of a simple majority.

On January 7, the CA State Water Resources Control Board adopted Emergency Minimum Instream Flow Regulations for the Scott & Shasta Rivers.
