EPIC's New Communications Coordinator: Welcome Abigail to the EPIC Team!

Please join us in welcoming Abigail Lowell to the EPIC Team! Abigail will be responsible for energizing and engaging with the EPIC community and will work collaboratively with members and volunteers to organize events and provide resources and materials for membership development. She will be overseeing communications and outreach and coordinates fundraising.

Abigail has a B.S. in Environmental Science & Management with an emphasis in Environmental Education & Interpretation from Humboldt State University. While at HSU, she was Outreach Coordinator for Green Campus, worked for CA State Parks North Coast Redwoods District as a seasonal interpreter, and published research on the unmanaged risks posed by sea-level rise to the nuclear waste stored near Humboldt Bay. After graduating, she taught at Sequoia Park Zoo Camp and then served as a Team Leader with the Watershed Stewards Program.

Abigail believes education and community are some of our most powerful tools for environmental conservation and stewardship, and she is excited and grateful to continue advocating for and engaging with the ecosystems and communities in beautiful Northern California.

When she's not working, you can usually find Abigail gardening, drawing, playing with her tuxedo cat Jasper, or identifying plants and exploring the North Coast.
