We need your help!
EPIC’s case against the Richardson Grove project has an oral argument on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Court of Appeals in San Francisco (350 McAllister Street, 4th floor courtroom). We need to pack the house with supporters of Richardson Grove!
RSVP here so we know how many supporters to expect.
With construction looming, we are also working to restore a powerful symbol of this movement: Save the Richardson Grove sign, an iconic piece of EPIC history. The late Stewart Moskowitz, a renowned artist and Humboldt local, painted the sign to alert motorists that the park is in danger. More than a decade later, it still stands, but time has begun to fade its message.
In loving memory of Stewart, we are commissioning his daughter and talented artist, Sachi Moskowitz, to repair the sign to continue its legacy of speaking up for the trees. As Sachi shares:
"Richardson Grove and the Redwoods of Humboldt are a cornerstone of my upbringing. My father, Stewart Moskowitz, deeply loved the Redwoods and the rugged landscape of Humboldt, and he was passionate about making art that reflected that devotion. In 2010, my father painted the “Save Richardson Grove” billboard, portraying me hugging a tree in a sea of redwoods. Sixteen years later, the opportunity to touch up my father’s billboard would be incredibly meaningful and a way to feel connected to him again while continuing to support and protect the landscape that shaped both of our lives."
We are raising funds to cover the cost of the repairs. Every dollar donated to the Richardson Grove Sign Fund earns you an entry to win a Patagonia goodie bag ($260 Value)!
Your contribution helps restore this beloved landmark while giving you a chance to win some adventure-ready gear: Fieldsmith Linked Pack, Lightweight Towel, Terravia Mini Hip Pack, and Classic Trucker Hat. See items in video below!
Join us in court. Donate to restore this symbol. Stand with the Redwoods.
