Making Good Use of the Inflation Reduction Act by Taking Climate Action
The 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is the nation’s largest-ever investment in climate action. While the IRA certainly has some fundamental climate-related shortcomings, it does provide individuals, organizations, companies, state, local, and tribal governments a range of financial incentives to shrink their carbon footprint and overall greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Rather than address the significant impacts and public controversy with “salvage” logging, the Forest Service is pushing through this inadequate analysis by calling i

Homeowner Alert: Solarize Your Home Before April 14th!
Solarizing our homes is a crucial piece in the energy resilience and sustainability puzzle. Aside from the overall reduction in greenhouse gas emissions that comes from replacing dirty energy sources with photovoltaic (PV) technology, solar is also beneficial for other reasons. On the one hand, it builds energy independence and reduces reliance on centralized energy grids. Solar also lowers the overall long-term cost of utility bills for homeowners. The frequent power outages
