Your Co-Op Shopping Can Support EPIC's Humboldt Bay Work

Have you ever wondered, "How can I support EPIC while simultaneously shopping for my organic groceries?" Now there's a way: just choose "80002" -- EPIC's number -- at the check out line at any North Coast Co-Op location! When you choose our number, 1% of your total purchase goes directly to support EPIC's Humboldt Bay Initiative.

Through this program, EPIC is working hard to protect Humboldt Bay, which is the second largest estuary in California and one of the most biologically important on the West Coast. A multitude of migrating birds and other species depend on Humboldt Bay's waters, including black brants and Aleutian geese. Many of us use the Bay for food sources (70% of all oysters harvested in California originate in Humboldt Bay) and for recreation.

With your help, we'll keep this jewel of Humboldt County free from threats such as toxic pollution, dredging, and industrial development. For more information about the Co-Op register donation program, log onto www.northcoastcoop.com. And remember EPIC's number: 80002!

Thanks for your support!!
