The Headwaters Forest Complex

The 60,000 acre Headwaters Forest Complex consists of six old growth redwood groves, connected by a patch work landscape of partially logged "residual old growth" forest, previously logged second growth forest, and cutover forestlands. The six groves, clockwise from the top left, are: Headwaters Grove, Elk Head Springs Grove, All Species Grove, Shaw Creek Grove, Owl Creek Grove, and Allen Creek Grove.
