THP 059

THP 059 is right across the South Fork of the Elk River from the "Hole in the Headwaters". After being logged a couple of years back, the hillside on the 059 side started sliding into the South Fork of the Elk River into one of the few remaining streams in California that bear Coho salmon in significant numbers. It seems obvious that logging the "Hole in the Headwaters" would result in similar devastating results.. The image on the left was taken from a plane flying over THP 059.
