EPIC'S Annual Gala Celebration and Benefit--Friday, November 18th, at the Mateel Community Center in Redway

Action Needed by November 18, 2005

Renowned local Chef Nancy Miyamoto will serve a delicious Thai curry vegetarian dinner to the sounds of the Joe Craven Trio, after which we'll be booty-boppin' to the fabulous Latin rhythms of his Django Latino band.

Our annual membership meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the upper mezzanine, where we will nominate and elect the coming year's Board of Directors and make a brief business report.

At 7pm, we serve dinner, at 8pm we hold our annual awards ceremony to honor local environmental heroes, and then at 9pm, Django Latino ROCKS!

$35 for dinner--Tickets available at Wildhorse Records in Garberville, Redway Liquors, and The Works in Eureka and Arcata.
$20 for Django Latino only--show up at the Mateel at 9pm and pay your way.

This year we have the Greatest Collection of Silent Auction and Raffle Prizes Ever! Buy raffle tickets at the EPIC office or at the annual meeting celebration up until 9:30pm.

To volunteer, or for further information, call the EPIC office at 707-923-2931.

Multi-instrumentalist Joe Craven, formerly of the David Grisman quartet, performs the music of gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli through a musical lens of Latin America.

"Inspired by musical styles and rhythms from Cuba to Argentina, from Spain to the USA, Craven uniquely showcases melodies by two of the most significant musicians of 20th century string jazz within a landscape of cumbia, merengue, samba, tango, Latin jazz and more!"
