EPIC’s long-time staff attorney, Sharon Duggan provides overall direction for EPIC’s judicial actions and takes the lead on most of the organization’s cases. She has practiced environmental law since 1982, with an emphasis on forestry regulation.
Sharon has served on numerous bar association committees and boards for non-profit organizations, including California Rural Legal Assistance, the San Francisco Baykeeper, Noriega Adult Day Support Center Community Advisory Board and the California Women Lawyers Board of Governors.
In 2008, Sharon argued EPIC’s successful challenge of the permits granted by California agencies granted to the Pacific Lumber Company under the Headwaters Deal in the California Supreme Court. She is also co-author of the “Guide to the California Forest Practice Act and Related Laws.”
