Kerul Dyer, Outreach Director
Kerul Dyer coordinates the outreach program for EPIC and works on corporate acountablity on the North Coast. The birth of her environmental justice values began when she organized with her elders from Oregon to defend Northwest forests at 17 years old. Her background studying journalism, U.S. policy history, farming and art history has led to extensive travel and working experiences. Born in the heart of Nebraska, her pursuits have taken her on long journeys in Asia and Europe, and south into Central America. With strong standards around justice Kerul has worked to blur race and class lines across the U.S. and extensively in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kerul self-identifies as an independent journalist, a goat rancher, a community organizer and a cultural revolutionary. She has a beautiful Pyrenees dog named Moe, and likes to spend as much time as possible outside.
